Purpose: Remove or pseudonymize protected health information (PHI) from DICOM files per DICOM PS3.15 standards.
DICOM files contain extensive patient metadata that must be removed before data can be shared, published, or used for AI training. This tool implements DICOM PS3.15 de-identification profiles, removing or replacing PHI fields while preserving clinically relevant metadata needed for analysis. It also scans for burned-in text in pixel data.
